Leave the M27 at Junction 9 (Fareham West).Follow A27 towards Fareham, crossing two roundabouts. The A27 then descends a fairly steep hill, and at the bottom move into right--hand lane and turn right onto B3334 (Titchfield Road) to Stubbington.Follow signposts to Stubbington and then Lee-on-Solent. The road will take you along the sea-front at Lee-on-Solent.Continue on, turning right towards Stokes Bay at the Kingfisher Caravan Park and right again at a roundabout at the end of the road. This is now Stokes Bay Road. Continue along Stokes Bay Road, and across a mini roundabout into Fort Road. Continue along Fort Road, past a golf course on your right, around a left-hand bend and then turn right into Haslar Road. The Main Gate is on the left.
Approaching from North or East
Leave the M27 at Junction 11 (Gosport) if approaching from East.
Follow the A32 from Fareham to Gosport for several miles through traffic lights until you cross two roundabouts close together with Fort Brockhurst on your left-hand side. Keeping in the left-hand lane, go straight on. This is Brockhurst Road, eventually becoming Forton Road and then Mumby Road, leading to the ferry and bus terminals. The road continues round a U-bend, joining South Street. Continue along South Street and turn left into Haslar Road which takes you over a bridge spanning Haslar Creek and past the Submarine Museum and then Royal Naval Hospital Haslar on the right. The Main Gate to QinetiQ Haslar Marine Technology Park is on the right near the far end of Haslar Road.
Nearest mainline station is Portsmouth Harbour (not Portsmouth and Southsea). On leaving the station turn left to the passenger ferry to cross to Gosport. A ticket must be purchased from the ticket machine for the crossing from Portsmouth to Gosport. After leaving the ferry at Gosport either turn left along the sea-front footpath or turn left along South Street and then left again into Haslar Road. Both routes lead to a narrow road bridge over Haslar Creek. Cross the bridge and continue along Haslar Road for about 1 km (0.5 mile), passing the Submarine Museum and the Royal Naval Hospital, Haslar on your left. The QinetiQ Main Gate is on the right side of the road.
