We have been engaged in comprehensive research into the protection of buildings to attack from blast for several decades. Our capabilities and wide body of empirical test data enable our Force Protection Engineering team to provide customers with expert support on methods to resist or mitigate blast and impact effect, including issues such as building design, camp design and accommodation protection.
We have also developed a portfolio of products to protect infrastructure which includes:
- X-NET®: our patented man-portable vehicle arrest system, developed for military and police enforcement, crime prevention, security and anti-terrorist environments, achieves the controlled arrest of vehicles travelling at speed without the risks inherent in other systems
- OptaSense®: this Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) solution is a highly cost-effective way to protect linear assets such as energy pipelines or perimeters, and allows the operator to detect, classify and locate threats before damage is done across distances of up to 100km
- Ground-based ISTAR systems: we have developed a range of integrated multi-sensor solutions for guarding and protecting wide area spaces which includes a mobile option suitable for protecting temporary front-line military bases or for use by police and intelligence services to protect events
