Zephyr is powered by solar panels that charge the advanced lithium sulphur batteries for night flying, so it flies silently and unobtrusively. Its bespoke autopilot navigates between waypoints, removing the need for permanent manual operation. It can be hand-launched with no complicated launching mechanisms.
Unlike balloons, Zephyr has the flexibility of being able to reposition at will. Unlike orbiting satellites, it provides continuous local coverage. Unlike alternative manned or unmanned aircraft, it is affordable for persistent missions.
