This will be managed under the C5 Other Transaction Authority (OTA) by the Consortium Management Group, Inc. (CMG). QinetiQ Inc. developed and demonstrated the state-of-the-art prototype sensor for an U.S. Army Program of Record.
SPECTRE provides improved performance at a fraction of the size and weight of the sensors currently in use by the U.S. Government. This compact, integrated capability enables multi-mission Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and manned aircraft to operate in parallel to other critical sensor payloads and weapons. SPECTRE unites many years of system and component development by the U.S. Army and industry partners.
“QinetiQ is proud to continue our support of the U.S. Army and its mission to provide ready, prompt, and sustained land dominance.” said Mary Williams, President of QinetiQ Inc. “We look forward to ensuring that the U.S. Army has modernized capabilities that can be employed on manned and unmanned aircraft and ground combat vehicles and developing these technologies for its missions in the years to come.”
