We are delighted to share that on 6 December 2022, QinetiQ officially completed its acquisition of Air Affairs Australia, becoming QinetiQ Air Affairs, a wholly-owned subsidiary of QinetiQ Australia.
QinetiQ Air Affairs is a leading provider of threat representation and mission rehearsal products and services to Australian Defence and commercial customers.
As a leader in air threat representation, Test & Evaluation (T&E), unmanned targets and mission rehearsal, QinetiQ Air Affairs provides targets, training services and electronic warfare capabilities to the Australian Defence Force, as well as aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of firefighting efforts.
We own and operate a fleet of special mission Learjet aircraft, and maintain an advanced manufacturing and engineering facility providing design, manufacture and certification operations.
QinetiQ Air Affairs capitalises on an exciting opportunity to unlock greater value for our Defence and industry customers, combining QinetiQ’s global threat representation, T&E expertise and Air Affairs’ threat representation and mission rehearsal capabilities to create a market leader in threat representation, training, test and evaluation in Australia.
The acquisition further strengthens QinetiQ’s long-term strategic partnership with the Australian Defence Force and underpins our market leading position in T&E, training and air threat representation globally.
Combined, we are a company of more than 850 Australians delivering vital services to our Defence and National Security Customers, specialising in threat representation, T&E and engineering services.
Alongside our strategic investment in our T&E Sovereign Skills Program (TESSP), new QinetiQ Technology and Engineering Centre (QTEC) in Port Melbourne and the acquisition of Air Affairs, we are continuing to build important training, T&E, and engineering capability in Australia.
