Research & Development

Underpinning our portfolio of services is our knowledge of the fundamental science and technology upon which they are based, together with an understanding of how each element can contribute to the overall integrated solution.

We gain and maintain this knowledge and understanding through our involvement in research and development programs across a broad spectrum of core and related topics.

In 2016 we formed a strategic alliance with the Defence Science and Technology Group (DST Group) that capitalises on the long-standing and deep partnership between our organisations and makes a commitment to collaborative Research and Development (R&D) in areas of strategic importance to the Australian Department of Defence.

Under this strategic alliance our current research projects cover topics including:

  • composite structure lifting and integrity
  • certification of additively manufactured parts
  • use of graphene in corrosion preventative coatings.

We are committed to working in partnership with the Australian Government, academia and industry to invest in local R&D programs.
