The programme offers our Early Careers Community the opportunity to work at the heart of our business, playing a critical role in impactful projects, and we look to them to inspire the next generation of our company.
Knowledge sharing and networking are key to the programme, and these aspects were provided in abundance at DSEI 2023 for two members of our Early Careers cohort; Alice, Cyber Graduate and Shay, Analysis, Modelling and Simulation (AMS) Graduate. We caught up with them at the world leading defence and security event to find out about their experience of the Early Careers Programme so far, why they chose to embark on a career at QinetiQ and to find out their thoughts on the opportunity of being at DSEI 2023.
Alice joined us as part of the Cyber graduate programme, and so far has completed a number of placements including one with the autonomous resilient cyber defence Dstl research programme. Alice was drawn to the QinetiQ Early Careers Programme due to the rotating placement element, which would enable her to gain a better idea of what area her future career could be in.
“I’ve got the opportunity to work with lots of amazing people and I’ve learnt so many new things about new areas that I didn’t even know existed during my degree.”
