Farnborough International Airshow 2022 - Day 1 Roundup
18/07/2022
The show kicked off with a speech from Boris Johnson, followed by an incredible flypast from The Red Arrows. There's been a huge array of aircraft doing displays, from the Airbus A350-900 to the Boeing 777X, as well as flypasts from the Black Eagles Display Team and the RAF Typhoon Formation - a real sight to see, especially after so long since the last Airshow.
In the QinetiQ chalet, it's been all-go with meetings, lunches and tours of our "experience zone", which is showcasing many of our products and services, from the Banshee NG target to next-generation robotics. Doug Gale, Strategic Engagement Director for Air, and Will Blamey, MD for Maritime and Land, give us an overview of what's been going on, why this year's event is important and the significance around our show theme - innovating for operational edge.
