History of MOD Pendine
Before Pendine, in 1853 an ‘Establishment for the instruction of the Army in rifle and target practice’ was formed in Hythe, Kent.
Superintendents
Up until 1995 the test and evaluation undertaken at MOD Pendine was overseen by a military Superintendent. From 1940 to 1995 there were 21 superintendents.
