QinetiQ to present threat representation offering at ILA

30/05/2024

QinetiQ Group to present comprehensive threat representation and test & evaluation services for armed forces worldwide, at the International Aerospace Exhibition Berlin.

Berlin, May 2024: Global Defence and Security company, QinetiQ, will be present at Berlin’s International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA), 5-9 June 2024, showcasing its innovative threat representation solutions and demonstrations, and presenting realistic attack scenarios to test and enhance the readiness, effectiveness and interoperability of mission-critical capabilities for armed forces worldwide.

Highlights: Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Pilatus Aircraft

Being exhibited at QinetiQ's booth in Hall 3, Stand 125, is a Banshee Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV), which was recently used in a customer training exercise, demonstrating the importance of ground-based air defence against uncrewed aerial vehicles in modern warfare. Also on display is an A900 UAV helicopter from Alpha Unmanned Systems, demonstrating QinetiQ’s operation of third-party UAVs as part of its extended threat representation service capability.

In the field of Crewed Aerial Training Services, QinetiQ will present two aircraft at Stand S6 - the Pilatus PC-9B and the Pilatus PC-12 Multi-Mission Aircraft - which offer a range of services in target presentation and close air support.

Innovative Testing of Close and Near-Range Attacks

Another focus of the booth is target presentation for ground-based air defence training. Artificial intelligence enables novel, complex, and cross-platform attack scenarios with numerous simultaneous attacking elements, challenging defending forces to implement effective countermeasures. To address the current strategic-tactical significance of drone attacks, QinetiQ offers innovative solutions for testing close and near-range attack scenarios and will provide comprehensive information on relevant training and exercise opportunities.

Scalable and Realistic Attack Scenarios

Through its threat representation services, QinetiQ offers the ability to develop scalable, realistic attack scenarios for all armed forces, including the maritime domain, where QinetiQ provides extensive planning and training measures for defence against surface and underwater threats. By closely collaborating with armed forces worldwide, QinetiQ can test under a variety of conditions and environments across all domains.

QinetiQ looks forward to engaging with customers and industry partners throughout ILA 2024. If you would like to arrange a meeting please contact: sales@qinetiq.de
