We are looking for individuals to join the program and be a fundamental part of building and expanding this capability in Australia. Individuals should have a desire to grow, an aptitude to learn and a passion for personal development.
We are looking for people from either a defence background or adjacent industries, such as air or rail, or who have experience in delivering complex programs, working in safety critical environments, or working in partnership with customers. Applicants will also need to be eligible for in-country (Australia) security clearance, as well as UK security clearance as a minimum.
What types of roles are available?
Over the course of the Program, we are looking for people to take on three types of roles.

The Test & Evaluation (T&E) Sovereign Skills Program is a long-term career development plan designed to train, mentor and coach developing individuals in the field of Test & Evaluation, investing in their careers to be future leaders in T&E.
Aimed at building and enhancing T&E skills for the benefit of our customers globally, the Program leverages QinetiQ’s unrivalled experience and expertise, and reinforces and complements our strategy to remain a world leader in the T&E field.
For the Sovereign Skills Program in 2024, the participants will take part in a combination of online development, mentoring and coaching and may be required to participate in experiential learning with our specialist team in live test and evaluation environments in the UK. Through this bespoke and focused experience, participants will be able to learn, develop and grow, putting them at the forefront of enhancing and creating our T&E capability globally.
An example of job roles that could be available are Systems Engineer or Trials Assurance Lead.
