Steve Wadey joins QinetiQ as new Chief Executive Officer

Steve will continue in his role leading the Defence Growth Partnership (DGP) – a partnership between the UK defence sector and Government – as its co-chair alongside the Minister for Business and Enterprise.
Steve Wadey, QinetiQ CEO said: “I am relishing my new role and look forward to working with all of our employees, who are held in high regard throughout the industry, as we develop and grow QinetiQ to meet changing customer needs in both defence and commercial markets.”
Aged 45, Steve has 25 years’ experience in the defence industry at MBDA and British Aerospace, which he joined after achieving a first class degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Cardiff University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Institute of Engineering & Technology and in 2014 was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
While at MBDA he developed new collaborative ways of working with customers and industry through the establishment of Team Complex Weapons and also has international experience, working closely with the French and New Zealand Governments most recently.
